Hi, thank you so much for visiting my page. I’m Riley Monroe, a self-published author of erotic fiction. I try to craft compelling stories with rich character development and long, immersive story arcs. What I hope is that my readers truly connect with my characters as they evolve, grow, and navigate complex relationships.
My debut series, The Alise Taylor Stories, introduces Alise Taylor—a successful author turned film producer—who retreats to the tranquil Welsh mountains to rediscover herself and focus on her next novel. In Guardian Angel, the first installment, Alise’s quiet escape takes an unexpected turn when a scenic run leads to trouble and an encounter with a mysterious rescuer. But can she trust this stranger, and is he truly her “guardian angel”?
Throughout the series, I’ve tried to explore Alise’s relationships—both romantic and otherwise—as well as her struggles with feeling like an outsider due to her intersex identity. A central theme is “belonging”: the fight to define oneself and find acceptance, particularly in matters of intimacy and love.
My second series features Priya Lawson, a bored, middle-aged housewife who is looking for new experiences in her life, to recover her sense of purpose. In the first book, The Gym, we join Priya as she embarks on a new fitness regime, trying to finally lose some weight and get ready for summer. When she meets Nathan, her personal trainer, at first she’s just embarassed, but this soon turns to mutual attraction and the first in a long line of spicy new experiences for Priya.
I like to think my work goes beyond titillation to examine rejection, inclusion, and the complexities of human connection. My work is erotic, so it’ definitely NSFW and not for under 18s. The depictions of sex in my writing are frank and graphic, so may not be for everyone. You have been warned, as they say!
You can find links to my work on Amazon Kindle above. I’ve also written a few short erotic fiction “quickies“, also available above, which I hope showcase my writing. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them! Please feel free to get in touch to let me know what you think, to suggest new stories or themes, or simply to say “hello”.
Rxx.
